Are you looking for a summer band? Look no more – I present to you: ANARBOR.
I’ve listened to them for like 3 years, and all I can tell you is the guy in the vest is the singer, Slade.
I can’t remember why we started listening to them, but the first song we heard/liked was “Drugstore Diet”:
We saw them open for A Rocket to the Moon in 2011, and then last summer at Warped. Funny story: in between the two shows, Slade cut his hair, and it honestly made such a difference. Sorry I’m superficial (I’m not really sorry). During that time, they also released an album, which includes the hilarious yet oddly relateable “18”:
Once the second Anarbor album came out, I revisited their older stuff, and found there were a lot of songs that I had previously overlooked that were really good, for example, “The Brightest Green”:
They are super catchy, and – as I mentioned – very summery. Something about their music screams summertime: drinking and smoking (if that’s your thing) on the patio as the sun blazes down on your head…it’s good times.
But don’t just take my word for it – go listen to them (you’re welcome).
