On Black Friday, I “discovered” the magical website known as Book Outlet. After seeing numerous people tweet about the amount of books they purchased for a low price, I had to check it out…and ended up spending over $50. But when you consider that I got sixteen books, plus express shipping, I’d say it was worth it!
Here’s what I picked up:
Links to Goodreads:
Love in the Time of Global Warming (Francesca Lia Block)
The Island of Excess Love (Francesca Lia Block)
The League of Seven (Alan Gratz)
A Tale of Two Castles (Gail Carson Levine)
Ever (Gail Carson Levine)
The Clockwork Scarab (Colleen Gleason)11
Lexapros and Cons (Aaron Karo)
Girl Defective (Simmone Howell)
White Crow (Marcus Sedgwick)
Dirty Wings (Sarah McCarry)
The Unnaturalists (Tiffany Trent)
All Our Pretty Songs (Sarah McCarry)
What Goes Around (Cracked Up to Be/Some Girls Are) (Courtney Summers)
This Song Will Save Your Life (Leila Sales)
Transcendent (Lesley Livingston)
Not pictured: The Madness Underneath (Maureen Johnson), which I bought for my sister.
I’ve been dying to read some of these (Sarah McCarry, Leila Sales, Courtney Summers, and, of course, one of my ALL TIME FAVOURITE AUTHORS, Gail Carson Levine), so I was more than happy to pick up these books. I may have gone a little overboard, though, since I already have 50+ books waiting to be read scattered throughout my shelves!
What have you picked up recently? Did you take advantage of any Black Friday deals (for books or otherwise)?
Oooh La La! But did they have the ‘hot picks’ of the season or only books that we’ve not heard of.
They had a little of everything! Honestly, it took me hours to go through the whole list – and that was just the YA stuff!
