It’s not a break-up, it’s a hiatus

Hello readers of this blog!

Just wanted to update: starting today (June 1st), I won’t be posting as much here, except for the occasional concert or ARC review. I’m dedicating more time to my baby (aka Mind the Gap), so you can find me there pretty much all the time. It’s chock-full of pop culture so if you’ve liked anything I’ve written here, I’m sure you can find something interesting there – including today’s post which is, of course, about The 1975 :)

Thanks for reading!

A Message from Sam (that’s me!)

Hiya friends!

I don’t know how many of you are out there or how many of you actually care, but this is just a quick note to say that Fiction Friday will be on hiatus (or, at the very least, will appear sporadically) until further notice.

On the one hand, I’m now doing an editorial internship, so yay experience! On the other hand, my job involves reading a lot. I am absolutely not complaining about this. I get paid* to sit around all day reading middle grade and YA manuscripts! This is a dream job!

It also means that I don’t have a lot of time to read “regular” books. And since I certainly can’t talk about books that haven’t been a) published or b) properly acquired by a publisher, I don’t really have much to post about.

There might be the occasional post, if I have the time to read “regular” books, but as of right now, it doesn’t look like it. I’ll still keep up Music Mondays and the occasional Writing Wednesday (plus whatever else strikes my fancy), but going forward, Fiction Friday will be a rarely seen beast.

Thanks for reading!

*I regrettably don’t get paid for reading at the moment, since this is just an internship, but I’d probably be doing the same thing if I was completely unemployed, so at least this is forcing me to put on pants/leave my house every day.
