Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week’s prompt is Ten Authors I REALLY Want to Meet. That list is pretty much identical to my Top Ten ALL TIME Favourite Authors, and that seems like a cop-out to post a link to a previous list (even though I totally just did), so I’ve added five other authors who I’d love to meet if I could go back in time i.e. if they were still alive.
1) Jane Austen
2) Oscar Wilde
3) Bram Stoker
4) Lewis Carroll (aka Charles Dodgson)
5) Dr. Seuss (aka Theodore Geisel)
Though really, I don’t know what I would say to any of these authors (on either list) if I met them because I would be too busy fan-girling to speak.
Sidenote: one time, I met Libba Bray and we swapped glasses. It was epic.
Who would be on your list?
I totally agree, I felt like this list would be the same as my top ten all time favorite authors! I did my best to make it different, only 5 were the same. :) Oscar Wilde of course is on both those lists for me. I just love him. I thought about adding Lewis Carroll as well.
You had a great list! I love Oscar Wilde, I firmly believe I’d have taken part in the aesthetic movement if I’d been alive at the same time as him :)
Agreed :) That is why I stuck to living authors only, so I wouldn’t have as many repeats. All 5 of your new additions would be on my list if I had let myself include dead authors.
Love your list(s)

Thanks for reading and commenting! I enjoyed your list as well – it would be delightful to just sit and have tea with Neil Gaiman, wouldn’t it?
